Book Tag: Gravity Falls Book Tag

Something that the bookish community might not know about me, is that I love cartoons. I think they are so fun, and they are a great way to let your mind rewind.

I always go for some cartoons when I'm feeling down, or when I seriously want some good ol thoughtless (or maybe not?) entertainment!

Gravity Falls is one of my favorite cartoons of all time, coming in behind the original Teen Titians.

This tag was created by the Booktube Channel Project Hardcover. I was not tagged, but I did tell her I was going to be doing this tag (over a year ago).

Dipper: The most determined and focused on their goal main character.

Gansey From the Raven Cycle Quartet <3
How could I not pick this little baby?!

Mabel: A side character you liked more than the main character.

Morpheous from the Splintered Trilogy. I honestly love him more than any character in the entire series, but that's beside the point.

Grunkle Stan: Favorite morally gray character.

Adelina from The Young Elites. She is such a dark character who knows right from wrong, but chooses to ignore it.

The Mystery Shack: Favorite fictional setting.

(am I allowed to pick something from the raven cycle again? no? okay)
I'm going with the faerie lands in ACOTAR. I can't wait to read ACMAF, so that I can officially say the night court because rhysand.

Soos: The most loyal character.

Seymour from the Thirst series. I read these back in middle school so my mind is a little fuzzy on all the details, but I clearly remember Seymour doing anything for Alisa regradless if he would be hurt in the process or not.

Wendy: A stereo-type defying female character.

Katniss Everdeen <3

The Journals: A book that deals with a lot of mystery.

The Mericless by Danielle Vega.

Bill Cipher: A villain you really loved.

Queen Levana form the Lunar Chronicles

Robbie: Least favorite romantic interest.

Jeb form the Splintered trilogy. He is literally the most blain and annoying character I've ever had a main character interact with.

Waddles: Favorite animal sidekick

My actual favorite sidekick is actually waddles because he is a precious baby, but since this is a book tag I'll try to stick to the bookish theme.

I know I'm not suppose to pick the raven cycle again, but Chainsaw ok <3

Do you all like Gravity Falls? If so, do this tag!

Book Tag: Panic! at the Disco Book Tag

This tag was created by Liv @ Curly Hair Bibliophile. I was not tagged in this, but I really like Panic! at the Disco, so I thought it would be a fun tag to do.

Questions:

1. I Write Sins Not Tragedies: A book you didn’t understand/finish

This one was super easy because I just recently DNF'd The Forrest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. I meet Carrie Ryan at SEYA fest a few months ago, and though I thought she was a very sweet woman, I couldn't finish this book.
2. Northern Downpour:  A book that made you cry.

Marley and Me by John Grogan
3. This is Gospel: A book that made your heart pound/suspenseful.

A Court of Thorns and Roses! Those last few chapters were really starting to get to me...
4. Memories: A book you attach with a memory.

The Hunger Games. Me and my friend use to borrow each others books and then one day I said that I was going to buy the first book and she got so angry with me because she said she wanted to own it too.
5. Sarah Smiles: Your favorite love story.

*Cough* Blue & Gansey *cough* *heart eyes* <3
6. Victorious A book with the best battle

7. Girls/Girls/Boys: A book with your favorite LGBT+ character

*grins* IS IT CANON? I'M NOT SURE BUT PLS

8. Emperor’s New Clothes: A book with a good cover change

I nominate Throne of Glass
9. LA Devotee: A fictional place you want to live in
May I visit the night court please?
10. Miss Jackson: Your favorite female protagonist.
This is honestly a toss up between Feyre, Katniss, and Blue. I mean how do??

Book Tag: Raven Cycle Book Tag

Hey everyone!

As most people know, The Raven Cycle is my favorite series of all time. They are just the most refreshing and beautiful books that I've ever read in my 19 years of life. Therefore, I had to do this tag.

This tag was created by MichEllisLife. I wasn't tagged by her or anyone, but I told her I was planning on doing this tag. Now onto the tag!

If you are unaware of what the Raven Cycle is, it is a beautifully crafted quartet, with strong friends and a great family dynamic.
There are 5 Bookish Questions and 5 Personal Questions.

1. In the books, Maura is the relaxed mom that is Blue’s friend more than an actual mother. Who is your favorite mom character?

Molly Weasley from the Harry Potter series.

2. Adam wanted to go to Aglionby so he could one day escape where he came from. Have you ever dreamt of living somewhere else? Where?

I have always dreamed of living somewhere else. I have hated where I live since I could make my own decisions. I personally have always wanted to live in England, but I could never moved that far away from my family. A more realistic move has been New York, New York.

3. In the second book we meet the Gray Man. He is a hit man who loves poetry. Name a book that you thought was going to be one thing but turned out to be something else.

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
This book was one of the most disappointing books I've ever read because when I went into it, I went in with the impression that the book would be full of action and badassery but I was mistaken.

4. Gansey has searched most of his life for a buried king who is promised to grant one wish. What is one wish you would ask Glendower?

I would honestly ask Glendower for one full day with my Raven Boys. Those characters have changed my life in such an interesting way that I don't think that I could go on without them.

5. In this series you get to see Greenmantle as a fleshed out character but also as a villain. Name your favorite villain.

Queen Levana from the Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite book villains. Reading from her pov in Fairest really helped me understand her character, but I still don't think it's okay.

6. Blue’s got her Raven Boys. Who makes up your bookish team?

My bookish team would consist of:
-Bradley (My boyfriend)
-Sierra (My book blogging bff)
-Courtney (My college bff)
-Abby (My best friend)
-Kyra (My baby sister)

7. Ronan is a bad ass with a sensitive side. What book have you read that was action packed but had beautiful emotional scenes as well?

The One by Keira Cass. Surprisingly this book was full of action, which was something that I was not expecting. This book really packed in the action that it should of had in the first two books, but it also had sweet moments that brought actual tears to my eyes.

8. Noah has a heart of gold. Who has touched your heart recently?

My sister touched my heart when I told her how long I would be home for the summer. She touches my heart daily because she is one of the best things I have in my life.

9. Calla is a woman who speaks her mind and puts her foot down when necessary. Who is your favorite strong female character?

Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Roses

10. Chainsaw is an awesome Raven boy pet. If you could have one “exotic” pet…what would it be? What would you name it?

If I could have an exotic pet it would be an Owl. They are my favorite animals, and I would love to just hold one in my arms.

I tag: Emily from PaperbackPrincess!

Have you read the Raven Cycle? If so, what did you think?

Book Tag: Book Buying Habits Tag

Hey everyone!
Today I thought I would do a tag. I have a love hate relationship with tags, but this one looked like it would fun! The Book Buying Habits Tag was created by Megan Olivier in November 2013. I wasn't tagged by anyone to do this tag, but I hope you enjoy anyway!
1. Where do you buy your books from?
My go to place to buy a new release would be Amazon because of their discounted prices, but I also shop from other websites and stores that have discounted prices (i.e. bookoutlet). As a undergraduate student, I don't have a large income coming in, so I like to keep my book buying as cheap as I can.
2. Do you ever pre-order books? If so, do you do this in store or online?
I don't pre-order books very often. I usually only do it if there is a book that I really want to read, and I want it in my hands immediately. If I do pre-order, I do it on Amazon because of my 2-day free shipping.
3. On average, how many books do you buy a month?
This one really depends on the type of mood I am in that month. Though I really love buying books, I can go months without buying any and then buy 3o in one month (Yes I have done this before). On average, if I am allowing myself to buy on a regular bases its between 5-10. This varies based on if Bookoutlet is stocked with books I have had my eye on.
4. Do you used your local library? If so, how my books can you/do you borrow at a time?
I only use my local library for audiobooks. I find that I really dislike borrowing from the library because I don't like making the 30 minute trip from my house when I need to return them. I use the overdrive app, and normally I only have 1 audiobook out at a time.
5. What is your opinion on library books?
I think that the library is a great way to read for free, but I never used the library until I started college. This has caused me to develop this bad habits of only buying books.
6. How do you feel about charity shop/second hand books?
This is my favorite way to buy books for cheap. I think that these places hold some of the best gems. I bought all of my Harry Potter books in hardcover second hand and spent $30 at most.
7. Do you keep your read and TBR pile together/on the same book shelf or not?
I actually keep them separate! I like to keep all my books together in their respected genre/series/author (if possible).
8. Do you plan to read all of the books that you own?
At some point in my life, I would like to have read all the books I own, but I know that will not happen. I have a large TBR pile, and that is okay with me. I know that I will continue to buy books until the day I die, so I know that I will never finish all the books I've put on my shelves.
9. What do you do with books you that you own that you feel you will never read/felt you did not enjoy?
I usually sell them to either second hand stores or give them to my friends.
10. Have you ever donated books?
I haven't donated, but I've gave them to my friends and family if that counts.
11. Have you ever been on a book buying ban?
I have, but I've released that I only did it because that was what I felt like everyone else thought I needed to do and not what I wanted to do.
12. Do you feel that you buy too many books?
I feel like I buy enough books to make me happy and that is enough for me.

If you're interested in doing this tag, then I tag you! Leave the link in the comments, so I can check it out. Happy reading =)
