Since starting my blog back up, I have been leaving the weekly meme's behind. I have found that, though they bring in a lot of traffic, I haven't been pleased with the content within them. Today is the first Top Ten Tuesday that I've done in a while because I had a fun idea for the freebie week.
Top Ten Favorite Reads of 2016
Rules for myself:
- No rereads
- Only one book per series
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and The Bookish as a featured weekly meme on their blog.
So weird confession, even though I've read a ton this year, I haven't been super impressed by much. I also have been reading a ton from the same series, so it makes this list much harder to compile than it should be.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Angelfall by Susan Ee
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
Saga Vol. 3 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples
Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh
Dairy of a Haunting by M. Verano
The entire Raven Cycle series would definitely be on that list for me. It basically dominated my year so far! But i do think that the Dream Thieves would be my favourite of the series.
ReplyDeleteSERIOUSLY THOUGH.
DeleteThe series is just soooo addicting!
Hyperbole and a Half is an absolute riot. I loved Marley and Me and had to read the book before I saw the movie when it was released. There is a new book coming out by Allie Brosh which I can't wait to grab. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI have Holly Black's novel and Allie Brosh's book on my ever growing reading wishlist!! So many books, so little time to read. Wouldn't it be great to be paid to read the books we want???
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my TTT post for this week:

I haven't read many of these, but of the ones I have read, I enjoyed The Dream Thieves and was a little mixed on both Throne of Glass and ACOTAR. I have enjoyed the rest of the Throne of Glass series (mostly, QOS was a bit of a disappointment), but I have yet to read ACOMAF.

I love Throne of Glass and Scarlet! I also enjoyed Marley and Me.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
MARLEY AND ME IS JUST MY LIFE & I CRY EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL FUR BALL
DeleteSo many good books on your list! I'm especially glad to see Angelfall getting love!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my TTT.
I BASICALLY LOVED ANGELFALL AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THE REST OF THE SERIES OK
DeleteI liked Scarlet better than Cinder (although I liked Cinder better as a character).
