Going into this I wasn't the biggest fan of Amy Poehler because I could only remember seeing her in Mean Girls and Baby Mama. The more I listened to the hype surrounding her memoir the more interested I became. I knew that I wanted to listen to the audiobook because of all the extra voices that were incorporated into it.

I finally got the audiobook listened to it within one night and the next evening. There were parts that really didn't interest me and there were parts that I wanted to listen to multiple times. I felt like I connected to Amy Poehler on an emotional level while listening to this audiobook. I felt like she made me feel like I was not just someone listening to her talk about her life but I was a friend who she was telling all her greatest adventures to.

I love how she got her friends and family to speak about their parts in her story. I know this only added to the unique qualities of this story. She gave hilarious tips and advice on life and how to live it to the fullest. I enjoyed this book, and even though I didn't start as a huge fan of Amy Poehler, I am excited to watch more things she stars in.

  1. I have been debating whether or not to read this for awhile because I have heard great things about the book, but I don't really like her. I might just have to listen to it on audiobook.

    1. The audiobook really shows her personality. I don't think you'd really enjoy it if you didn't like her
